For some time now I've had this
2m DS model from the Medina stable sat waiting to be fitted out. Moving house, work,
Viking Race, fitting out a new workshop and so on kept getting in the way. But
having finally finished the Vector a couple of weeks ago I couldn't sit and watch the rain
any more and took a chance. It was just a quick few flights in between showers,
hence the poor light and average photos.
The Vector DS acquitted itself
wonderfully. Very fast, handles beautifully and maintains energy remarkably well.
Thanks to the construction (moulded wings with cut foam inserts for extra rigidity) the
wings are relatively heavy, which is no bad thing for DS. Roll response is excellent
and crisp. One bonus here is the extra weight in the wings makes for amazing flicks
and spins.
The brakes are superb, making
for an easy catch on the second flight. It would have been an easy catch on the
first flight if I hadn't gone cow turd surfing instead!
I can't wait to take this out
for some DS; it has that groovy feel to it which should make it lots of fun on the back
side.
